- What is Cowboys and Heroes?
Cowboys and Heroes is Ireland’s n°1 Country Music and Americana festival with top Irish and American Country acts along with Western horse shows, an American car show, line dancing, jiving, 5 bars, a food village, camping, Tipi’s, amusements and lots more. The theme for 2017 is “Love n’ Country” and in celebration we are having a wedding on the Saturday and Listoonvarna’s very own Willie Daly will be matching making on Sunday. It was awarded the Best Irish Music Festival 2015 in the Business Excellence Awards.
- Where is the festival on?
Cowboys and Heroes takes place in an idyllic 50 acre western themed ranch called Drumcoura City, located just outside of Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, Ireland. With lake views, forest trails and the region’s largest arena, there is no better setting. Click here for directions!
- When is the festival on?
Cowboys and Heroes 2017 takes place on the 2nd to the 5th of June (June Bank Holiday).
- How much do tickets cost?
A limited number of weekend tickets are on sale for just €70. This will cover you for all the performances over the 4 days. Weekend tickets are only available in advance.
Alternatively, you can pay €30 at the gate per day. We would encourage people who are paying at the gate to arrive before 8pm.
- Where can I get tickets?
Tickets can be bought through our office by calling (071) 964 57 81, the Saloon Bar in Drumcoura City (the Venue) or through tickets.ie. Tickets.ie also provide outlets for collection, a full list can be found from the following link www.tickets.ie/outlet/
- Are tickets / wristbands transferable?
At the gate, weekend tickets will be redeemed for wristbands. These wristbands cannot be shared. If the seal of the wristband is broken, it is void and entry shall not be permitted.
- Can large groups be accommodated?
For booking large groups please contact our office on (071) 964 57 81. If you have a stag, hen or birthday you are looking to celebrate at Cowboys and Heroes, give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate.
- What are the opening/closing times ?
Gates open to the event on Friday the 2nd of June at 7 pm. Campervan owners and campers can arrive from 1pm in the afternoon to get settled in.
Opening/closing times are as follow :
- Friday 7pm-3am
• Saturday 1pm-3am
• Sunday 1pm-3am
• Monday 1pm-12pm
- Can I bring my children to this event?
Children under 12’s have free admission. There is a children’s area with bouncing castle, amusement rides, face painting and a children’s marquee.
Due to licensing laws, persons under 18’s must be off the premises by 9pm.
- What is the situation with parking?
Parking has been provided by a neighbouring land owner. They will be charging € 5 for one day or € 10 for the weekend.
Park and ride facilities are available from Ballinamore, they will be leaving every 10 minutes and charge € 2.
- What’s the line up ?
The line-up for 2017 is stronger than ever with Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Declan Nerney, Michael English, Robert Mizzell, Patrick Feeney, Lisa McHugh, Cliona Hagan, Lou Rosgen (USA), Kegan McInroe (USA) with more to be added.
We will also have a second stage with up and coming Irish and American acts along with rockabilly music.

- How do I get accommodation ?

Our best recommendations are glamping with Tipi Adventures, campervan parking or pitching a tent under the stars of the campsite
- What facilities are provided at the campsite / campervan site and how much do they cost ?
Campervan spaces are €50 for the weekend. Due to size specifications and limited space, campervan bookings must be made over the phone by calling 0719645781 (office hours only). There are no daily rates. The campsite is provided by a neighbouring land owner and is €30 per pitch (which also includes weekend parking).
We also provide chemical toilet disposal facilities.
There are limited a number of campervan spaces on the hard surface beside the yard. Once these have been filled, lake side spaces will be available. There are no electrical hook-ups of any kind and while there is a water supply, we ask that campervans arrive with full tanks of water.
